It would not be right for women to wear veils or head coverings in a Church where in the prevailing culture it is not normal to do so (unless there is a prevailing 'church culture' where it has a long standing and accepted history). It is not right to conclude from Paul's writings here that all women should wear head coverings in Church services as a sign of authority. This was true in Paul's time because of the prevailing culture. We must determine what would be the best 'sign of authority' the women are to 'wear' in modern societies.
