This is a theological argument that man is the image

and glory of God and the woman is the glory of man.

This remains true whatever the culture.

The use of 'symbol of authority' shows that women

should have something to show that they are submissive

and giving glory to the man - in the Corinthian's case

it was a veil, different cultures will need to define what

this means!
